JoomlArt recently released a new Joomla template called "Teline". This new template is a news oriented portal template, build around a lovely grid and with a lot of functions to give it a real newspaper look. Colours are kept as a minimum - content is king!

So what is so special about this new template, I mean all templates can be used as news templates - right? Well for starters Teline comes with some new and rather unique extensions. The most valuable is in my opinion the new news component, that takes content from various catagories and makes "teasers" out of them and present those in a nice way on the frontpage.

Everything is done really easy, so images are scaled down to the right size, text is cut in the right place and you get a lot of controls to fine tune the content even better.

Another thing I really dig about this new template is the layout. A great grid layout makes the content stand out in a nice and very functional way, and together with a lot of typographic styles, you can really make a different with you news site.

We have seen a lot of tabs and slideshow implementations recently, again Teline from JoomlArt does this in a new and really good looking and functional way, you need to see it for your self.
