I have just written a small fix for the lovely comment system called JomComment. In case you use it, you might have seen that irritating smiley background that overlaps the comment area on the right.
It's just a small visual error, but hey let's fix it anyway. I have attached an image so you can see the before / after results.
This is the second Photoshop video tutorial, where I take the rounded corners seen in tutorial number one a little further. We take the recently created round images and add a nice wide border to it, and enhance it with a nice soft shadow.
The tutorial movie is running in Flash, so make sure you have
the latest version installed. The link to the movie will open in a new
window (as I haven't found the way I want it embeded yet) so if your
browser blocks the window make sure you turn it off.
I use Photoshop CS2 and I am not able to tell you how to do the same in earlier versions, but I hope you will be able to handle it.

In this last part of our Rounded Corners tutorial I will show how to make a nice and very popular reflection to our image. The reflection adds that last touch to give your site a modern look.

Hello and welcome to this first Photoshop tutorial from Beta-Code. In this tutorial I will focus on a very easy way to add rounded corners and borders to any image chosen. This is great way to add a smooth look to your Joomla site. If you run a magazine component like iJoomla you can give your article intros a really pro look.

Class Suffix - an empty field in the Joomla backend or a useable tool?
If you have published some stuff in Joomla you have probably wondered what that field "Class Suffix" is for. Perhaps you have bought a template that use it for a special menu with a class suffix like "-nav". But can it be used for other relevant stuff you might ask, and the answer is of course - yes! In this small tutorial I will show you a little trick that perhaps is able to spice up your site a little bit, but also give you A LOT more room for content...
Hello again. It has been a while since the last tutorial,
but time flies and.. well you know how it is. But I can say that I have
missed you all, and I am looking foreward to this new tutorial.
I really feel bad about some of the templates over at Rocket Theme.
Not bad as I don't like 'em, but I feel bad that some of the new ones
gets so much attention, and the old one doesn't. Versatility,
Versatility2, Carbonite, Mobius they are the hot stuff at the moment,
and I really don\'t blame people for that - they are AWESOME!
Tired of boring search and contact fields? With CSS we can change that very fast. Open your template_css.css file and look for something called: "div.search input" the name might look different in some templates, but you should be able to find it or something similar.
Ever wondered how you can control the amount of articles, columns and article links on the front page? I often forget where it is controlled, mainly because I always think it's in the Frontpage Manager - but nope it's not there.
Andy have just made my last tutorial public, you can download it over at Rocket Theme Template Club. Another tutorial by Youyou is also available it's about getting Moo.fx to run with the July template - great reading!
The first tutorial is focused on one of the best looking (in my opinion) templates for Joomla. The template is called Internet Gazette and is available over at Rocket Themes. The reason why I really like this template is because it doesn't look like a lot of Joomla templates that often got a portal looking theme. There are some really nice module positions and there is plenty of room to get creative with the colours.
Rocket Theme has launched a lot of new templates since Internet Gazette and a lot of them are def. more versatile, still Internet Gazette is highly recommended and can make some impact on your site.
